The British heritage brand Kent and Curwen partnered with Perry and his team for the AW2018 campaign. Creative Director Daniel Kearns asked Perry to create a campaign that captured the label’s timeless but modern look.  “I love the way that Kent and Curwen is re-inventing a traditional British look,” says Perry.  “I was trying to capture this idea of ‘preparation’. The preparation that a musician, a boxer and an artist go through before their performance / bout / painting. That passion for what they are doing or about to do. I also wanted to capture youth culture.” In just four weeks Perry and the production team turned around a film – shot on super 8, 16mm and video – along with stills for Kent and Curwen’s London Fashion Week show.

“I’ve always respected Perry’s work and he really has captured the essence of the brand in a powerful way. The idea of preparation strikes a chord with me personally as that has always been a key characteristic of my career – and Perry has managed to capture those moments in his brilliant film.” David Beckham, Kent & Curwen Partner

I saw it as such a natural fit to work with Perry for this season. As a master of documenting British culture he is the perfect person to capture the evolution of Kent & Curwen. There is an honesty and a toughness in his work that resonates strongly with what we stand for.
